My guess is just like with Quinn, they see he's not good as an anchor type, so they're hoping if he loses a little he'll at least move better.

This will be two highly-respected DCs in Quinn and Eberflus thinking the same thing. I don't think they're both crazy.

Yeah that's a very solid point.

I don't understand why either asked him to lose weight, but like you said, if two very respectable defensive minds both thought losing weight might help him, there has to be a reason for that.

Maybe he just can't be an anchor no matter what his weight is. And maybe, he's just not an NFL caliber player.

If Blue can just avoid being a dipshit with fumbles and drops he could easily be a Pollard type.

I don't think he has Pollard's vision or natural running skills so I think that's asking a bit much.

Pollard was much better than I ever expect Blue to be. He's straight line speed and a passing game weapon.

He'll never be a guy who can be constant weapon every week like Pollard was.

It took Pollard about 3-4 years to get to that point though, I think how you're describing Blue is how most would've described Pollard his first year or two.

Yea the extension makes little to no sense to me in the grand scheme, but as long as they manage to figure out how to keep Bland and Pickens (assuming he plays well) plus of course Parsons, then whatever.

Pickens isn't a guy you want to pay. You want him playing for a contract, not getting one. He'll revert to being an insubordinate shithead once he cashes in.
