The Gaetz nomination felt like trolling from the start like the stroke guy said, Fetterman or something. A pick to see what he could get away with.

I'm sure they'll try, but this is a solid pick. Long career as a prosecutor and attorney general of Florida, whereas Gaetz was barely a lawyer for any amount of time before running for office. IMO, he's obviously a piece of shit bro boy who probably thinks rules don't apply to him at best, and a child predator at worst. Why anyone would think he would be a good pick for the top law officer in the entire country is completely befuddling to me, unless you just want to watch things blow up and burn.
 
There's a lot more to the Gaetz accusations than people realize. An interesting Twitter thread if anyone is interested in the story. It's very long and it muddies things quite a bit. But don't take the mainstream narrative at face value.
