NBA Chatter Thread

I've always understood the the Jordan Rules as the methodology the Pistons used to guard and beat the piss out of him. Which is what eventually led MJ to seek out better diet and training methods to deal with their physicality.

It wasn't about Jordan flopping, selling calls, and such.

But I do agree that superstars getting cheap fouls is one of the weirdest norms of the NBA.

Think about. The most talented guys on the court, who really don't need the extra help, get tons of cheap calls in their favor. Meanwhile the Steve Kerr's of the league have to damn near get decapitated to get refs to blow the whistle.

Yeah that's right it was the defense strategy for dealing with him.

Bronny is getting abused tonight:

So apparently Bronny James is already hurt. Deddy needs to teach him his load management schedule.

Wow, this kid wants to win AND still be rich af. He gets it.

There's shady shit going on there. His agent (and Anunoby's) is the son of the team president.

I don't feel sorry for him. It's one thing if you can't shoot but you're working on it and otherwise doing the right things on the court.

But his effort seems lazy and he doesn't seem to have a natural feel for the game.

Meanwhile he's taking a spot that should have gone to a much more deserving player because of nepotism.

He also grew up insanely rich and entitled and will likely never know real struggle in life. He's embarrassing himself but he'll be ok.

Agreed. And the more he tanks, the more his daddy looks like an idiot for the things he says about him. Teams will regret passing him in draft... deserves to be on olympic team... etc... Fuck 'em both.

Yeah, I'll save my sympathy for the plenty of people in the world who truly deserve it, not 20 year old sons of centimillionaires growing up in the lap of luxury.

The funny thing about him missing all those passing opportunities is the biggest selling point that his supporters keep throwing out there is his supposed high basketball IQ. They think just because he's Lebron's son and grew up around the NBA game that he's mentally more advanced than his peers.

As the video clearly shows, his basketball IQ looks average at best. But at this point that's all his hardcore supporters have to hang their hats on.....that and some occasional deflections.

The Bronny situation is such a joke that I can't even muster the energy to discuss it anymore, kind of like Stephen being so incompetent with these contract extensions.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in summer league...

Westbrook headed to the Nuggets in a three team deal.

Josh Harris just said that the Sixers showed that they are "all in" by signing Paul George.

Doesn't this fool know that being "all in" actually means doing absolutely nothing?
