That dude was so frustrating. He could look so damn good one night, then completely disappear for the next week. Happy to see him gone.

Yea he'll be a great fit for 2, maybe 3 years, the big question will be whether or not he (and Embiid) can stay healthy.

34 years old and becoming more and more injury-prone. Just what a team that already has an injury-prone superstar needs.

After going through this with Kawhi, I'm actually surprised George signed up to do this again.
 
Not the sexiest move so it didn't get much coverage, but OKC signing Hartenstein was huge a huge addition. Their biggest weakness last year was rebounding, and he immediately makes them better in that department.

I'm curious to see who starts between him and Caruso.

$30M is a ton to play for a bench player, so Hartenstein seems like the obvious choice. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them throw Caruso into the starting lineup in Giddey's old spot.

Personally I want to see Hartenstein & Chet play together instead of subbing for one another.

Speaking of money....I read where Klay Thompson actually shot himself in the foot and cost himself about $15M.

Apparently the Warriors offered him a 2-year $48M contract extension not that long ago, and he turned it down.

Now he's only getting about $16.5M per year from the Mavs.

Makes me wonder if he was just done with the Warriors and was just looking for a fresh start.....even if it meant a pay cut.

I don't think it's really the same as Kawhi; Embiid has mostly been available in the playoffs and a majority of most seasons.

I can't imagine Hartenstein doesn't start, at least most nights.

IDK why Hield wasn't a better fit with the Sixers. On paper it looks like a perfect fit.

He had his moments. I wonder if they had more time together had Embiid not gotten injured if it would have eventually worked.

But ultimately I think the Sixers were hoping for more from him but he's really just a shooter.

Reminds me of Seth Curry. Very good shooter but he doesn't really do much else well.
 
I watched about half the game and it was about what I expected to see when an end of the bench caliber player is thrown into the mix vs a bunch of hungry players who were all 15-23 ppg scorers and All-Conference players in college.

Nevertheless.....that didn't stop ESPN from going all in on the Lebron/Bronny glazing. :picard

That's the thing I keep going back to.

Embiid was out right up until playoffs. I thought it may have been worth a shot to see what it looks like with Hield getting a full training camp and at least 25 NBA games with Embiid and Maxey.
