Gotcha. They shared the number for preseason.
and then gave it to KearseGave it to the guy who will be here for the season at least

I disagree. Lance is still an unknown, he has so little experience. He might flame out. But he has elite talent, and the chance he develops is there. If we had used a 4th during the draft for someone exactly like him, people would have been happy.

Yeah, you must be right. I'll defer to you on this.Well said, but this part doesn’t ring true
Sure he can use his legs, but his arm isn’t that strong and his creativity doesn’t make up for it, or he hasn’t flashed it yet.
When I think elite talent in a prospect, Lance never enters my mind. I see no similarities with Burrow, Herbert, Rodgers, or Mahomes. It’s hard to think of anyone historically elite he reminds me of either.
I may be blind to it of course, but then again so were the 49ers when they decided to trade him in favor of a very average Brock Purdy.
About the only difference I could see is that you would have twice the amount of time to see whether that pick was going to develop. I'm skeptical but will hope for the best.
Was Carson Wentz as elite?Yeah, you must be right. I'll defer to you on this.
I rarely if ever saw this guy play.
Exactly. Barring crazy injury he won’t see the field at all this year, either. A 2nd round pick might, though, as they would have most likely been the #2 QB. We think so much of Lance that he’s #3Yeah instead of 4 years you have 2. I ignore the fifth year option because the only way that gets used is if Dak is being booted.
