Yeah I agree with this but this implies we have 3. We don't in my opinion. You need 4 guys at WR who can play significant snaps. And by that I mean even your fourth guy needs to be able to go on the field and beat man coverage. If you can't beat Wright, I'm concerned. That guy should be burnt toast.

RB, Pollard is great, Duece may be a rookie but that means little at RB and I certainly think Ronald Jones is capable although I like Davis more I think. RB is all about youth. I'd keep my eyes open for young guys who become available too.

If you think Gallup is never going to be better than he was last year then I get it, but that seems pretty unrealistic. And I feel way better about a guy like Tolbert potentially taking a step than relying on Ronald Jones.

Davis could have something but we need someone who can be consistent between the tackles and in short yardage right now, week 1, not in case of injury like WR where we aren't really going to need much beyond the top 3 if they're all healthy.

relying on Ronald Jones

Why? The guy has had good years in the NFL. His last two years his carries have been limited but I don't know that his skills have significantly changed. The Chiefs had more RBs than they knew what to do with last year.

And Gallup could be better than last year and still not be good. There is a middle ground between what he once was and what he was last year. Last year was that bad.

Not doing anything for two years is a pretty big red flag, especially when he kind of got frozen out in Tampa despite having some success there. I'd much rather roll the dice on Gallup simply getting healthy than whatever the hell issues Jones has going away.

And Gallup call me skeptical based on how awful he was last year. I can't shake that until I see different.

I eagerly await Jones showing he has something. We need that guy, I dunno if he is.

I would give Gallup the benefit of the doubt though, that last year was an aberration and not indicative of his decline . He’s been too good prior to injury to suddenly suck. And I expect Tolbert to be far better.

I'd have to do some research before saying we have the best secondary, but for one season I think I'd take our group over the Jets. They have Gardner who is better than anybody on our side but we have way more depth, with up to 8+ guys who are legit starting caliber in the secondary.
