Horrible list.

Siriani is bad enough, but I guess at least he went to a Super Bowl. Daboll that high is ridiculous. So is McDaniel and O'Connell.

The Fat Mike disrespect continues.
 
Hell, Rivera should be higher. There's no way to justify a guy like Daboll over Rivera.

I just realized Ross Tucker did this list, which explains pretty much everything.

I know places do things like this for attention and clicks, but all it's really accomplishing is making a lot of people think the 33rd whoever they are is a bunch of morons.

Are clicks worth sacrificing your reputation?
 
The thing about McCarthy ... at some point in Green Bay, McCarthy acquired the reputation of being a poor game day coach who was prone to making fundamental clock management errors (not unlike Garrett).

The day after the 2021 Cowboys - Patriots game, I listened to a New England based podcast and the media types who hosted it were incensed that it was even possible "for someone like Mike McCarthy" to beat their sainted Patriots and they went on to talk about how bad McCarthy was. They couldn't have been more arrogant, particularly following a loss. Anyway, some of that reputation from Green Bay is still in the air and probably hurts McCarthy's rating today from (out of touch) national media types.
 
I think it's pretty simple, it's mostly from Rodgers trashing him. I think more people today realize how arrogant and douchey Rodgers is, but back then he was revered. People thought anyone could win with him, but the last three years showed that's not true.

I was kinda impressed with 3 straight 13-3 seasons.
 
There's also the fact that Tucker, and most pundits in general, don't ever take into consideration the Jones factor when rating coaches' performance.

None of those other coaches has to deal with the circus or any of the other roadblocks and hurdles that only exist in Dallas.

To me, that makes what McCarthy is doing that much more impressive.

Fuck that list.
