I'm right there with you. I had zero expectations for this season to begin with and while it's highly doubtful we make a run in the playoffs, this season has mostly been bearable to watch. After San Francisco I was sure they we'd go something like 5-11.
Ayuh.If we can't put on our big boy pants and win a home game against a team that struggled to beat the Texans today, we don't deserve the post season anyways.
The run game was already having problems before Parnell entree the game.So I have to admit, I felt a gutless bitch meltdown coming on as we surrendered the lead and 24 unanswered points after jumping on the Eagles out of the gate. Then Romo and the defense both stepped and put the Eagles away with the season on the line. And did it in their house. Kudo's.
Oh, and either Parnell is a pretty significant downgrade from Free or he had a really weak game. Or both. The run game was stuffed without Free it appeared to me.
Feh. I am enjoying this win and feel good about playing the Colts. When you expect bad things, bad things happen. Loser mentality. It's gonna hurt so bad after this win when we lose next week to the Colts And choke away the division.
It's sadly true though.Wait...Dallas just won and fucking Dungy is like they are the team that should be the most worried about missing the playoffs at 11-5.
Whotta fucking hater zombie.
Yeah. The tiebreakers get them so they have to win out with the tougher schedule of the teams involved. Great win last night but Tony is correct with that assessment. It's sadly true though.
Fortunately our mentality doesn't affect the team. The fact we have 10 wins and haven't clinched a playoff spot, and likely won't clinch even at 11-5 since we lose a tiebreaker with every other contending team, just seems like the typical "suck em in and then burst their bubble" deal like we see every year.Feh. Irritating also because we didn't get to feast on the NFC South like Detroit and Green Bay. They have the tie breakers because of an easier schedule.Fortunately our mentality doesn't affect the team. This team and year could be different, but I'll believe it when I see it. Just unreal we enter December at 8-4 and probably have to go 4-0 down the stretch just to make the playoffs.
Even if we get beat by the Colts all it takes is one loss by the Eagles and we'd still have a good shot at clinching. It's gonna hurt so bad after this win when we lose next week to the Colts And choke away the division.
Yep. That will end up being the difference between 2 NFC North teams going to the playoffs vs. 2 NFC East teams.Irritating also because we didn't get to feast on the NFC South like Detroit and Green Bay. They have the tie breakers because of an easier schedule.
The problem is the Eagles only have the Redskins and Giants.Even if we get beat by the Colts all it takes is one loss by the Eagles and we'd still have a good shot at clinching.
