Gun laws are a waste of time. They want to make it hard for criminals or lunatics to acquire a gun. Ok. Why? Do they want to be able to say “Yeah, this shooter killed all those people, but man did he have a hard time getting a gun.”?

If a person can’t buy a legal gun, and they really want a gun, they’ll do what criminals do. They’ll break the law and buy a gun off the street. If they can’t find a gun on the street, they do what criminals do, they’ll steal one. If they have a high moral code and will not steal, maybe they’ll buy a knife. Let’s assume we have knife control laws, then what? Maybe he gets in his car and mows down a bunch of innocent bystanders with it. Crazy will find it’s outlet. The best you can hope for is to catch them before it happens. Laws aren’t going to help. Murder is against the law last time I checked, we still see plenty of murders.
