I’ve also read that 2/3rds of people who come down with covid-19 are showing heart damage as a consequence of just having covid-19.

I’d be curious to see what this frontline group has to say about the heart damage factor.

We've had many athletes like Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, and others get this and I haven't heard of any lingering problems other than the one South African (IIRC) swimmer very early on.

Wonder if it's just fear porn that some network or website ran with... you know, the "some doctors speculate that 2/3 of patients will suffer heart damage..." and then several others pick it up.

Because if that were a large, legitimate study I can't believe the CNNs wouldn't be repeating it nonstop.

That part is beyond absurd. Maybe it doesn't help consistently against Covid, who knows, but all these people screaming about how dangerous it is are nuts. No, just biased. The drug has been in use for 60 years now.

Actually the base of it quinine has been being used since the 1600s. And I can't help but wonder if part of this is there is no money to made if it does turn out to be the best treatment
