You're right. I was comparing the abilities of both players to disrupt the locker room wherever they went.I don't think Owens would ever pull himself out of a game though.

@SI_PeterKing: Percy2: Sea spoke to Cle, TB also. Jets made best offer. Sea was open w/Jet GM John Idzik about the whole book on Harvin.I don't know if Seattle is petty enough to do something like this but wouldn't it be funny if they purposely sought out trade partners who have poor records and are poorly managed, like the Jets, just to stick it to Harvin.
Ensuring that he gets to experience the old "Penthouse to Outhouse" effect.
Not true. Had a big dust up in Philly in the locker room.Owens wasn't violent but he was super good at agitating.
He had attitude problems as well. The Harvin purge was the right move. You get rid of a fragile bitch who is a finesse player who can't block nor ever be a #1 guy. Even after pissing away a 1st and a 3rd for that worthless piece of shit, scamming the Jets out of what will be a high 2nd and a 4th was brilliant, especially since Harvin hardly played while he was in Seattle. Talk about maximizing the value of low value player. If that was indeed the compensation, Seattle ass raped the Jets.
I was basing my opinion on the original report that the Seahawks received a 2nd and a 4th, not a conditional pick which can be no higher than a 4th.I wouldn't say brilliant at all. You have to look at the entire picture. They traded a lot to get him, and two years later they him away for a fraction of they spent. In between he had almost no impact.
The whole thing was a huge net loss. Had the Cowboys did it we'd be rightfully skewering them over it.
What speculation? This is first I've heard Wilson mentioned in regards to the trade.
Yeah, same here. I thought maybe there was some stuff reported that I had missed. What speculation? This is first I've heard Wilson mentioned in regards to the trade.
One of my lists on twitter has most of the NFL media and this is first I've seen it mentionedYeah, same here. I thought maybe there was some stuff reported that I had missed.
Yeah, I stay pretty well connected with the NFL media as well and hadn't seen it either. Was curious if somehow I had missed it.One of my lists on twitter has most of the NFL media and this is first I've seen it mentioned
Nope, Mort was using speculation angle to break the story, and of course since that tweet have seen it mentioned everywhere.Yeah, I stay pretty well connected with the NFL media as well and hadn't seen it either. Was curious if somehow I had missed it.
Dust up where ever he went. SF, Philly, Dallas and I quit following after that but he stayed in the doghouse whoever he went. Not true. Had a big dust up in Philly in the locker room.
IIRC that was instigated by Hugh Douglas. Not true. Had a big dust up in Philly in the locker room.
Would have made some sense to get a TE to help them this year instead of a pick, but they should have set their sights in the Anthony Fasano range if they wanted to be taken seriously.NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Seahawks GM John Schneider phoned Browns GM Ray Farmer about a Percy Harvin-for-Jordan Cameron trade.
It obviously didn't go down, as Harvin was shipped to the Jets on Friday. Cameron is in the final year of his deal, and the Seahawks were eyeing tight end help with Zach Miller still hurt. Farmer wasn't interested in the deal. It's more interesting than anything else. Rapoport also learned that the Seahawks called the Broncos, Bucs, and Colts about Harvin, while ESPN's Adam Schefter adds the Seahawks asked for Julius Thomas from Denver.

No wonder why those other teams passed...
Jordan Cameron has ties to Pete Carroll from their days at USC.Would have made some sense to get a TE to help them this year instead of a pick, but they should have set their sights in the Anthony Fasano range if they wanted to be taken seriously.
He's also a pro bowler, no one is giving you a pro bowler for Harvin.Jordan Cameron has ties to Pete Carroll from their days at USC.
