I was just listening to the interview Zelensky had with Brett Baher and he (Zalenski) said something that that kind of raised an eyebrow, he said that he feels that certain discussions need to be done behind “closed doors”... Obviously this guy does not like the concept of complete transparency. If this had happened away from the cameras, he could have made-up whatever narrative he wanted to instead of exposing his true agenda for all the world to see... Sorry, that's not how this administration operates. Anytime anyone suggests doing something out of sight should throw up red flags.

Exactly... The left is freaking out saying that negotiations like this should not be held out in the open, hello, this was not supposed to be a negotiation in the first place. This was supposed to be a simple formality for him to sign the previously negotiated deal. If he had an issue with the deal, he should have brought it up before he got on the plane. Zalenski tried to raise the stakes holding two pair, unfortunately Trump was holding four aces.

Few people know (you probably do) that I think when Putin first took over... Or maybe closer to the Wall falling... That they wanted to. But were refused.

It's kind of funny to think about though, considering they were formed to stop Russia.

Anyway... bigger picture, Trump would like to break the bonds of Russia and China. Strategically it's dangerous to us to have those two on the same side and back during the cold war we knew this, or at least Nixon did. Russiagate pushed those two back together.

Of course, the Left would rather call Trump a Putin Puppet and perpetuate a new Russiagate all day long than ever do what's strategically beneficial to the country.

They have basically annexed southern Syria. But there is no outrage there. Only for Ukraine. There is no blathering about Bibi is a dictator or stopping the flow of our money to them. Just so weird to me, the selective outrage.

I won't pretend to know the details of Israel. I know in recent history we sent a shit load of money to Ukrain. I think the financial support to Israel has been less recently. But yeah, I'm not a big fan of funding either military. The support of Israel has a pretty long history with the US. So people don't get as offended by it as they do the Ukrain financial support. My preference would be to back out of all of it by Trump.

Ukraine and Israel are two completely different situations...

Ukraine supposedly has help from the EU (although they are as useless as tits on a bull), but we are sending the lion's share of the resources.

Israel on the other hand is not only our direct (and the only real) ally, but they are our proxy in the Middle East. If it were not for them, who do you think would have to do the dirty work of preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons? I mean we did kind of have them (Iran) shut down until Joe Biden decided to unfreeze a shit ton of their own money.
