Yeah but they don't get the money til June 1st. And additionally by doing that he counts like 8 mil on the books next year. Don't personally care about that but I wouldn't have cut the dude right now. It accomplishes nothing except hurting the teams resources to improve.

Personally I think Collins wanted nothing to do with going back to guard and that's part of why he is being cut. That whole hip injury was weird and I feel like we will never get the story on what actually happened. I'm ok not having Collins on my team but what I'm not ok with is just outright cutting a dude who is clearly in demand and going to get more on the free agent market than it would have cost in a trade.
