We have the best safety depth in the league, 3 legitimate starters plus Mukuamu and Bell who could probably fill in as a starter for a game or two.

With that said, we don't have an elite Kevin Byard/Budda Baker/Justin Simmons type, although Wilson could be blossoming into that before our eyes.

Kind of like the number in the 30s... don't like that it's Tony D's old number.
I can't believe I remember this but one of our old CBs, Nate Jones, wore #33 as well.

I understand the reluctance to retiring numbers but I just wish they'd give 33 the same respect they give 88. Only hand it out to players who legitimately have the potential to be special.

Here's an interesting nugget of info that I didn't know.

I just Googled Nate Jones and it turns out he's currently an NFL ref. He's been working as a field judge since 2019.

His college number was 18, but the immortal Tolbert has it. :rolleyes

As for revered numbers, in no particular order…
22 - Bullet, Emmitt
88 - Drew Pearson, Irvin
54 - Howley, Manster
43 - Don Perkins, Cliff Harris
94 - Haley, Ware
70 - Rayfield Wright, Zack Martin
79 - Beautiful Harvey Martin, Big E
72 - Too Tall, Travis Frederick
73 - Larry Allen, Rotten Ralph Neely
11 - Beasley, Danny White

Obviously 12, 74, 33 and 8, but only one person.

73 might end up being special (Neely, Allen, Smith)

Trevon Diggs averages 0.5 interceptions per game for his career.

It's up to @boozeman to start Sunday's chatter thread.

According to Data's data, of the posters with multiple thread starts under their belt, Booze has the highest straight up and ATS winning percentage.
