There's been some confusion about Bowser and whether it was a private workout, official visit or what, so if he wasn't one of the official 30 it may have been Marcus Maye, who I read a rumor that he visited last week but only saw it from one source.

At any rate, that list is close enough.

I haven't seen anything about Marcus Maye but that is interesting.

What is most interesting to me is this:

13- Corners
10- DE's (I'm calling McDowell a DE for now)
5- Safeties
2- WR's

I think that makes it pretty clear what the team thinks the needs are.

Safety Marcus Maye is another Florida Gator likely to be selected earlier than most project.

The senior had a great visit with the Dallas Cowboys last week and is receiving a ton of interest from the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. The other team showing big interest in Maye is the New England Patriots.

It is also a risky method for evaluating the talent.

If a player dropped into your lap and you weren't expecting them and there has been little to no face time with the coaching staff and leadership, it might be easy to simply go with the players you have met with. Just two offensive players is just crazy.

I'm not a huge Maye guy but I know some evaluators absolutely love him. I just don't think he is much of a ball hawk. Never had more than 2 picks in a season. But I think the guy has some talent. Wouldn't mind him in like the third.
