It also seems like it would be in their favor to report that Trump was leading because it might cause apathy among Trump voters and motivate those who are apathetic about voting, not rabid Trump haters but don't want him around anymore
I think what they are trying to do is make Trump voters feel like they are outcasts. They are on the wrong side of history. And sort of make people feel like they want to jump on the bandwagon of the winning side.

Notice how there are suddenly more Chiefs fans. It didn't work last time so I guess we will see for round two.

interesting observation, I suppose that could be happening

An anecdotal observation (& very small sample size) I've made recently is that virtually everyone I've spoken to is pissed at dems, the socialist crap and told me they were voting for Trump. The only people I've heard from that aren't are women who for whatever reason just despise the shit out of him.

My girlfriend is one of them so I asked her why didn't JFK make you as mad? Why doesnt Clinton piss you off?

its pretty much crickets as Trumps philandering is apparently uniquely offensive and egregious.

I think this might be why:

^^ forgot to add^^

I think I live in an echo chamber in that I am self employed and almost all the people I interact with are self employed. I believe most folks who have to endure the bureaucracy, red tape, idiots running said bureaucracy, unnecessary paperwork and the BS sneaky taxes that come with running a business** especially despise those who advocate for more of the above so while some may not be pro Trump, they're so anti democrat, they're never an option, especially now given the AOC's, Sanders, etc who've risen to the top of that party.

Problem is far more people work for companies and are oblivious to the nonsense people who run their own business have to endure. Couple that with the general disdain folks have adopted toward their employers and/or corporations and you have a large swath of ignorant folks too distracted by the rage machine to actually deep dive into the issues and search for reliable truth upon which to base their vote

cliff notes: I fear we're few in number

**- franchise tax and tax on your furniture, etc that you've already paid for (& paid sales tax on) where you have to pay more tax annually based on the valuation determined by the person who randomly shows up at your business to assess said value

We will see.

But nationally everything seems to be going against Trump. I just don't see it.

There's a good chance he would have lost even with a humming economy and no Covid because people are tired of his act.

I'm leaning that way too, seems all the peer pressure is to hate trump and therefore vote for Biden, sheep pile up quick in humanity

even the Drudge Report which always seemed to me to lean Republican comes across as anti-Trump

and fwiw (maybe nothing) there's another poll saying Biden is well ahead.

Various articles:

Gamblers bet the farm on Joe...

The world’s gambling community is getting in line behind American polls and betting the farm on Joe Biden to win the presidency.

In European markets alone, over $150 million has been staked, and the bets are going more than 2-to-1 for Biden.

In the latest OddsChecker wrap up of betting sites in Europe, where gambling on American political campaigns is legal, the spread has echoed the most extreme polling in the United States.

Currently, OddsChecker spokesperson Pete Watt told Secrets, the betting predicts that Biden has a 69.25% chance of victory compared to Trump’s 33.33%.

MOST ACCURATE POLL 2016 NOW SHOWS: BIDEN 51.9% TRUMP 43.4% JORGENSEN 2.4% HAWKINS 0.8%...

It's just such a weird year.
If true then weird would also apply to the majority of the voting public in this country. A person can’t just dismiss all the apparent problems with Biden and fall under the category of normal and certainly not astute.

Locally? I dont think Trump has to worry about Texas. Its those states that swung last time that you have to wonder about.

We’ll find out if the left is scared shitless by covid and just doesn’t turn out for political rallies, or if Biden has even less support than Clinton did.

I think it was Rasmussen that released a telling poll the other day, 56% of Americans believe they’re better off today than 4 years ago.

That, in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic. Let that sink in for a moment.

Even at Biden speeches, you see 4-5 times the amount of Trump supporters on the way in to the event. It’s crazy.

The "better off today" polls are way more relevant than the who are you voting for polls.
