All of that stuff is a joke. They will make up for it in the contract even though supposedly NFL teams can't waive those fines any longer. There really is no reason to wait any longer though. You know the price range. You're either going to do it or you aren't. Waiting longer won't make it cheaper. The way we do contracts is really dumb for so many reasons. WR's tend to fall off in their late 20's. You're best off doing a deal now as opposed to dragging it out and doing a deal later. Lamb's extension will fall somewhere between a yearly average of $30M (St. Brown) and $35M (Jefferson), the length will either be 4 or 5 years, and the guaranteed money will be somewhere around $90-$115M depending on the number of years.

Literally all of the parameters are already in place, if a deal isn't done in the next 2-3 weeks it's just another example of Dumbo and Dumbo Jr. dicking around because it makes them feel smart.

This is why a deal hasn't been done. The Jones boys don't want to hand out that type of money. It's real to them. And if they don't hand that money out, they get to spend that money on things they want to.

The good news for Lamb is holdouts work here. Look at Zeke who essentially had 2 years left on his deal. And at that time Zeke was the centerpiece of our offense. Now Lamb is that centerpiece and we are essentially screwed without him. So unless the Cowboys owners really want to tank, they have no choice but to get this deal done. They didn't even give themselves an out by drafting or adding someone.

Yeah, my guess is it will be really close to 35 mil a year on average. Maybe a penny more or a penny less but I don't think he is going to get AJ Brown money at 33 mil per year. Statistically the last two years of numbers from Lamb are pretty much unmatched outside of Hill who is 30 years old. It's even better than the last two years for Justin Jefferson.

Anyway, we suck without Lamb right now. He is the majority of our passing offense and we don't have other young options that appear very strong. So we don't really have an option but to pay the man. Personally I would rather pay Lamb than Dak. We sort of put ourselves in this bind by dumping Cooper and keeping Gallup instead.

Yeah, I read this and I really don't think Parson's gets it. You're not in a "compromisable realationship" with your coach. You're in a, do what you're told, with your coach. I honestly feel like Quinn was such a buddy to these players, that they don't really understand the dynamic of an NFL coach anymore. It's not a discussion, your coach tells you to do something and you fucking do it.

I'm also disappointed that he hasn't had the direct contact with Zimmer yet to understand this is the dynamic. And if he can't get on that page, then he may need to get the fuck out. You'd think Zimmer would be talking more to the most talented player on his defense. Shit's kind of gotten weird with Parsons.

I used to love listening to the guy. He really loves football and just trying to be great. But lately every time I read or listen to anything out of his mouth it makes me cringe. I really do think his personality has taken a weird turn. Maybe it's the whole celebrity thing that's just not good for him.

Was the interview with his brother posted here? Where bro said Micah couldn't do OTAs because he had some personal stuff to do? And that they were "mandatory" anyway? Might as well have asked what the word meant.

Also, saying Zim "has had a lot of great players but he ain't ever had a Micah before" reeks of arrogance (and ignorance). And I really hope his use of the word "regime" is a misunderstanding of what the word means.

Yeah when you start saying it's ok to do something because one of the best defensive players of all time did it, you're kind of thinking you're a bigger deal than you are. I've said it before the guy acts like he is Tyron Smith in his 9th year in the league as opposed to young pup who just finished his third NFL season. You're not a vet yet, acting like you've gotten all you can from the teams coaches already is getting a bit ahead of himself.
