Good for Rivers. A coach can't let these 'stars' do whatever the hell they please.

Especially one that is afraid to take a mid-range jumper, and can't make a God damn free throw to save his life.

:lol Yep.

He's mad because people want him to shoot the ball more than once a game, not be worse at free throws than Shaq, and not be afraid to dunk on a 6'1 guard in a playoff game 7.

Clown.

I fucking love Embiid. If Simmons had even half the drive and determination of JoJo, he'd be unstoppable. He has the talent. Too bad he has the ambition and brains of a mop.

Correct. That's the most frustrating thing about Simmons.

His physical tools are elite. If he had the drive of an elite player, he's a hall of famer

Instead he's a child.

Does he even have trade value acting like this? I'd ship the turd away but not sure what you all can get in return.

I think he does, but not much. Daryl Morey says that the offers he's received for him have basically been role players.

So Morey's stance (which is one I agree with) is that essentially if these are the offers then he's more valuable to the Sixers playing for the team than trading him. Trading Simmons for role players makes the team worse, not better, so he's not going to do it. They were the 1 seed with him last year so why make yourself worse just to give him his wish to be traded? He has 4 years left on his contract.

If Simmons wants to be traded the best thing he could do is show up, be a professional, and play up to his capabilities.

Lost in all this is Simmons is a legit all star and DPOY candidate who can guard all 5 positions, has elite floor speed and can get to the rim almost at will when he "wants to".

If he wants to be traded, trashing his reputation is a poor way to go about it. He also didn't do himself or his tradeability any favors in the playoffs last season.

The big problem is he's pretty thin skinned and has surrounded himself with a yes men entourage so he's making very poor choices.

The real world works quite differently than he's experienced inside his self absorbed cocoon.

Unless the Sixers find a trade that they like that will benefit the team, I hope they just hang on to him. Sit his ass on the end of the bench and let him pout until he figures out that he's only hurting himself with this behavior. If he decides to man up and play, let him earn it. Through practice and game behavior. The more he buys in, the more he plays. And the more he'll make trading for him more appealing to another team.

The best way for him to get what he wants is to ~gasp~ work hard and STFU. Strange concept, I know.
