Seems odd coming off what you'd think was a successful season.
I was listening to Mike and Mike yesterday morning and Buster Olney said that he expected the Yankees to make this decision today.

It is odd considering that the Yankees vastly overachieved based on their preseason predictions, but Olney basically said the relationship hasn't been all that great for quite some time.

Oh, and that was one of the best baseball games I've ever seen.

shades of when Showalter was fired after '95. is there another Joe Torre lurking out there? doubtful.

If Nelly Cruz had attacked that ball the way Springer did the other night vs the Yankees, the Rangers would've celebrated that night.
I hated Nelly after that game.

Apparently, he and Cashman have been clashing. I think they want a yes man in the dugout, or someone who can better relate to the young talent in their system.
