I don't know that I'd take Kingsbury over Moore, they both seem like similar flavors of the same shit. I guess the fact that Kingsbury isn't as familiar with the organization might make it more likely to move on more quickly.
We all know this is all about Prescott.

He ain’t doing shit outside of his comfort zone and Jones will oblige.

Kingsbury feels like a little more of a vocal leader but otherwise I agree.

I just remember hearing from some media guy just a couple of weeks ago that the defensive players in Arizona said he barely even talked to them. He's just an OC playing HC.

For those of you who want to delude themselves into thinking Moore might not be a complete trainwreck...

Left tackle Jordan Mailata said Moore’s interviews are well-deserved, crediting him with the offense’s success this season. Mailata praised Moore’s ability to explain the reasoning behind plays and how each play is part of a larger strategy. “I’m happy for him and whatever happens, happens,” Mailata said. “But then again, with all those interviews lined up, I’m not surprised. The schemes are just bulletproof. He likes to play chess and use the long game, using one play to set up other plays up. Honestly, it’s a pretty fun thing to see when you’re actually executing the plays. There is a lot of tactical warfare going on there. For me as a player this year, he’s kind of opened my eyes to play-calling a little bit more, understanding why he’s calling certain plays and why certain formations marry up with other formations.” Quarterback Tanner McKee, who started the regular-season finale against the Giants, and saw time in two games this season, said that Moore had shown a trait that successful head coaches have shown. “I think he’s a levelheaded guy that can make split-second decisions at a high level,” McKee said. “He’s a phenomenal coach and I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s very knowledgeable about the game. He always has answers to all the questions, and he wants everybody to be on the same page. It motivates guys to just get better.”

In all seriousness, though... Even if we got lucky and he did turn out to be a pretty good coach, think how flawed the decision-making process is. Our number one criterion is making Dak (plus of course Jerry) comfortable. We're starting and ending our search based on who our 2-5 playoff record QB would like best.

Jerry has lost his freaking mind.

Yes, I realize I'm not breaking news here.

I don't think the number one criterion is making Dak comfortable, it's worse, it's making Jerry and the status quo of how the organization is run comfortable.

Which is probably even worse.

Well sure, but the two are closely related. Jerry doesn't want an outsider he doesn't know making either one of them uncomfortable.

It's just mind-numbing that the criterion isn't hiring the best coach possible. I mean, I felt like they were at least reasonable in hiring Mike: after a decade of pet project Garrett, they wanted a veteran, Super Bowl winning coach who led a perennial contender. And he didn't have any connection to Jerry or the organization. Like Mike or not, the decision-making process seemed sound. This is just Jerry trying to justify his 240 million contract. It's just pitiful.

Say Kellen Moore is the hire. Who’s the staff?

We had a problem with Garrett’s network, relying on Jerruh to bring in Kiffin, Marinelli, Linehan and maybe a big hand in Moore.

Moore wasn't brought in, he was already there, though as a player.

I bet he'd try to get Nussmeier, if Philly would let him go.

Otherwise, who else has been a deep offensive assistant here since 2016 and doesn't have a contract?
