I wasn’t a fan of Carlin.

That said, he’d be considered a good liberal today. One a conservative like me could get along with and find common ground.

Sadly he’d be cancelled today if he was still going.

I look for this film to depict him as some soft liberal douche bag that would be fighting for trans rights and climate change. He wouldn’t from some of the stuff I remember him saying on stage. He hated republicans, but he also knew bullshit when he heard it and had no problem slamming the left.

Then something is wrong with you.

I look for this film to depict him as some soft liberal douche bag that would be fighting for trans rights and climate change.
It better not be. He would spin in his grave.

I will forgive your previous slander.

Bullshit was something he made his living off of. Hypocrisy was always a theme of his.

Carlin was good. No denying it.

But he is overrated.

I don't like topical comedians. Just tell me jokes about your wife or how fat you're getting.

Yes, but that died out a long time ago, not that you still couldn't appreciate the self-deprication.

It is hard to be a period comic.

You have to know your crowd. And right now, I can't imagine how that would be.

It is sad. I miss the mega-comics.

Even Dane Cook.

Aren't guys like Gaffigan, Chapelle and Hart still mega comics?
