Yeah, in 2014. After investing resources in the O line and not asking him to throw it 40 gd times a game. The only season Murray stayed healthy, whaddaya know, we were a bad call from making the NFCC. I like how you totally presented a counter-argument. You can go sell your own bullshit somewhere else, you mouthy bastard.
Hmmm. Even 'Throwing it 40 times a game' and he still had lesser passing stats? Interesting....

Dak has a loaded fucking offense and still struggles. Take away his run game and you get 2017. No alpha receiver, you get the first part of 2018. 2012-13, Romo had to overcome his shitty defense, who'd let offenses go through them like a sieve. He was asked to carry the team way too often and that wasn't who he was. He was an above average qb who could win games for you if you didnt ask him to throw it 38-40 times a game or have a an o coordinator who would give up on the fucking run if they were down by a fg.

And once again Dak's individual number are all better.

All that supposed 'saving, and 'carrying' and 'overcoming' and the bottom line is that Dak's numbers are better.

Sorry if that fact hurts.

It’s like listening to Bills fans arguing for Doug Flutie or Rob Johnson.

Yeah, you said that already. Over a far smaller sample they may be marginally better but, again, look at the team Dak has had. Romo was running for his life behind some of the lines he had. Dak isn't going to elevate the play of anyone around him. At least, he hasn't yet.

You don't have a leg to stand on. Romo was surrounded by Pro Bowl talent. You try to talk about not having receivers when he had Terrell Owens for the period of time I used, the best receiver of all of them either guy has had. Romo had every advantage in the comparison, and Dak's numbers are still better. It's no slight on Romo, it's just facts.

Speaking of 2014, amazing in retrospect how we were rolling. Romo and Murray post the greatest franchise single season any QB/RB have had individually and we got them both in the same season to boot.

We score 30+ points per game in 6 of our final 7 games.

Then...poof. Fortunate to win the Detroit game with 24 points and only put up 21 points in GB.

Season over. Fart in the wind.

Yeah, TO, well after his dominance, dropping passes every week. If you look up both their stats, there's very little difference. Both had their best seasons passing in years the team was .500. Only difference is, without Romo, we'd have been 3-13 most years, other than '14 when he had a more complete team (and defense) around him. Sometimes I get the feeling people think I hate Dak, and I don't. I just think it's ridiculous he's going to be the highest paid player in the league. IDGAF if the deal will look better in 3 years, he's not worth it until he can lift the team up on his shoulders and win games when he's needed to.

Edit: Against teams with winning records.

Then you should have simply said your issue was about the money in the first place and not wage a losing battle by arguing stats that aren't up for debate and have nothing to do with whether you want to pay him or not.

If that was your issue, you should have just said that. That I can understand, but not the attempts at revisionist history.

Yes!! That's it, the play before that Murray was in the backfield yelling at Romo he wanted it and he wouldn't even look at him then threw an incompletion

I'm going to say whatever the fuck I want however the fuck I want to say it. It's not just about money and I've explained to you in detail yet all you have is his individual stats are better which, for one thing, is debatable, and secondly, never tells the whole story. This is like arguing with my nephew so I'm out. Have a nice evening.

We've all been in quarantine with our families for going on 2 weeks. This is a land of wolves now.
