I just want to ask, does Stephen Jones win a single contract negotiation? Because Dak got literally everything he wanted when all this first started, except even more money.

The answer is no...although he thinks he does.

It isn't for the dumbasses who didn't want him back and thought this stupid franchise could just draft a guy.
Spaulding doesn't count.

I need to read more about this, but surely it frees up $ for launching a day 1 assault on defensive free agents, right?

Whatever, I have no confidence in the players, coaches or management of this team after last season’s debacle.

Show me or I don’t give a shit, I care less and less each day anyway.

Lafreniere is starting to heat up, let’s go Rangers.
Hang in there, Schmitty!

If they'll just cut Jaylon's swiping ass now, it willgive us a little hope.

He has terrible instincts. He rode his athleticism all this time. The faster game of the NFL showed his true ceiling. He will never be shit in this league. You can't coach instincts, and that has been proven out with Jaylon Smith.
He damn sure doesn't need to be the qb of your defense, and he needs to be cut from this team today. It would be a good message, make it seem like Mike M isn't gonna tolerate that pseudo-humble rah rah bullshit. If you study, train, and apply what you practice...your instincts aren't going to be that fucking bad. He relied too heavily on LVE and Lee IMO.

Nope. They have pushed away from the table and are now dabbing the corners of their mouth with a napkin. They will go back to the plate about three weeks from now and nibble on what little is left.

There was a time they didn't believe in drafting OL early, change can happen.

Who didn’t know that Jones would meet Prescott’s terms? He got what he wanted which was to keep himself and the team in the spotlight. He might not be a good negotiator but he is a good promoter.

It's what a lot of us have been saying they really didn't have a choice.

Because if Dak didn't get what he was asking for, all he had to do was play on the tag another year, make 37 million, and dare the cowboys to tag him again at 54 million or hit free agency and REALLY cash in and we'd probably lose him with only a compensation pick in return.

By far our best option was to basically give him exactly what he wants.

It does seem like they reached a compromise with the voidable years though. Not sure why they couldn't do this last year, but hey it's done. Pop the glenlivet.

You don't see it here, but there are actually real fans that are pissed off at the deal. My take on these people is quite simply, they are dumbasses. They don't realize that pretty soon Prescott's deal will be dwarfed by the ones Josh Allen and possibly Lamar Jackson will sign.

If they had done this two years ago when they should have, they would have had more choices and a lot more leverage. Instead these idiots sat on their hands and backed their own dumbasses into the proverbial corner.

This is exactly right. Had they signed him for 45 mill per I might have a bit more heartburn, but at 40 per, considering the situation, I'll take it.
