To be fair you claimed "If Dak was in Seattle, he'd be a nobody." So no you're not just saying that Dak's supporting cast was better. You're saying much more than that.
He’s probably sorry that upsets you, too.

Didn’t we already do just that with our suddenly ordinary star runner?
This!!
I know a lot of people think Dak can make us a contender. I'm not one of them. Really thinking we're gonna throw ridiculous, cap killing money at him only to see his production fall.
And we're expecting him to do what Romo couldn't. I just can't get on board with this.

I'm not sure Romo did much here other than keep us on national TV.

It's sad, and a direct reflection of not having a GM who understands team-building

I just think overall Romo was a better QB. Definitely a superior passer.
I'd say Dak is a better team leader

Then show me, specifically, how you think this organization led by morons, is going to come up with a better plan.

That is really all this is.

They tripped over their dicks on Romo and Prescott.

Now suddenly they grew brains that erase this list of shit?

Quincy Carter
Chad Hutchinson
Drew Henson

Not to mention vet stopgaps like Testaverde and Bledsoe?

Are you certain you really trust the Joneses to find that QB who can make us a contender?

I will also tell you this. They don't have the balls to make a trade for the likes of Wilson either.

Also don't forget they wanted Paxton Lynch and Conner Cook before Dak

funny how those two choices, I mean preferences got leaked to the media. Just glaring bad judgement, and then the dumb stroke of luck getting Prescott.

Iirc Jerry himself said after the first day of the draft he was pissed he didn't move up for Lynch

Couldn't agree more.

By 2014 and 2015, Romo had such great command of this offense and an elite OL.

Getting Zeke at #4 would have put that offense over the top. I know Dak had an epic year and he proved in very little time that he was a better leader than Romo, but I'll always feel that 2016 would have been our year had Romo not gotten hurt.

Sucks to look back and wonder what if, but it also reminds you how damn lucky this team has been getting Romo as a UDFA and Dak in the 4th.

Dak has command of the offense and seems to be a genuine TEAM leader, and he's got an absolute bomb squad at WR.

Just make our QB happy already, damn it. It's been dragged on for too long already. Concede a bit, show him he's your guy, and concentrate on rebuilding the complete shitstorm of a defense. But these mother fuckers are sure that they'll dumb fuck luck into another quality QB.

Without question Romo is a better passer. I don't know if Dak is a better leader or just better liked. There's a difference and it's really hard to quantify since we don't see into the locker room and only catch glimpses as fans.

You knew Rodgers and Romo were running their offenses. I don't know that Dak isn't still being a good soldier and doing what the coaches ask.

The Jesse Holley moment on the sidelines in that 2011 SF game before the deep shot that sealed the game where Romo quietly got in his face and told him the ball was coming to him, I don't know that we've seen that moment from Dak. Not to say it hasn't happened, but knowing it and assuming it are very different things.

Dak will get signed and Jones will cave again and pay too much but that’s what he does. The ”holdout” is just a facade to keep the spotlight on the team. That’s another thing that Jones does.

He should have caved 2 years ago and got the guy on the cheap. It's this fucking wait and see approach that has screwed us. So yeah, playing hardball has basically put us in this position to be screwed.

To play devil's advocate, that's the approach the eagles took with Wentz and it's bitten them in the ass.

You can say that we were certain about Dak two years ago, but the eagles thought they were certain about Wentz 2 years ago also.

There's definitely risk when you re-up a guy for huge money like that.

I'd far rather be in our situation right now, which let's be honest is very likely to get done just not for the money we'd like, than be in a position like the eagles getting burned for an insane cap hit from giving huge money to a guy who ultimately failed.

My big issue is last year, when his contract actually ran out and we were forced to tag him. It should have been done a year ago and still probably would have saved 5 or so million a year.
