Weird how Switzer objected to Troy chewing out Kevin Williams. That's pretty common when a receiver screws up a route. And then to make it racial. :doh
Switzer was looking for anything he might actually contribute to the situation, and in doing so completely misread where Troy was coming from.

I read his autobiography, "Bootlegger's Boy" and in it Switzer clearly has this self-perception that he built his rep on looking past race by aggressively investing in the black athlete. That's where Barry himself thought he shined best, confronting racism.

Troy was not being racist, even if that's what some others might have thought.

Troy couldn't believe what he was hearing when Switzer called him into his office about it. He thought they were finally going to connect and align on goals, and then out of nowhere Switzer brings up this racism crap.

Williams had his moments (like the touchdown on Turkey Day vs Miami), but I remember him for two things:
fumbling a punt that kept the Giants in the game when we played them for the NFCE in '93, and fumbling a kickoff in the '94 Championship Game.

Nothing really new. A one-stop shop for all previous documentaries, just with a Hans Zimmer Christopher Nolan soundtrack

Was cool to watch the enhanced quality 92 NFCC highlights not on VHS. Nice to hear unfiltered mic’d up audio with all the cussing

Surprised they didn’t focus more on the new stadium (art gallery, helllooooo) and its purpose built to max sponsorships/luxury suites that have shaped the NFL since.

Knew they wouldn’t, but would’ve liked to seen more analysis into the post-Jimmuh draft failures. Only mentioned once with an Aikman quote.

…and highlighting all the players off field scandals, you know they werent going to bring up Jerruh’s out-of-wedlock daughter. :lol

Devoted a segment about Aikman’s racist accusations, convenient that Skip Bayless piled on that but didn’t mention his homo accusations

Emmitt had a rule named after him because of that insane drive he led for Pete's sakes.
That didn’t go into effect until 97, mainly because he took his helmet off after both TDs in Super Bowl XXX. But I agree, should have been co-MVPs.

If anyone ever deserved to take their helmets off in any situation, it was that one for sure.

He broke the Bills coming at them play after play each one the defenders increasingly shying away from contact. I still can't recall any other serious NFL drive where variations of the same running play were called six times or whatever it was.

With Troy's face red and head fuzzy, Emmitt and the OL carried the pride of the team on their backs that drive. His taking his helmet off was all that pent up emotion exploding out. Fricking one of the greatest moments in Cowboys history.
