Cowboys Nostalgia Thread

I am honestly shocked we have not done so by now. That would rake in some cash from Cowboy fans who were alive to see them.

We already brought the ones on the left back.... Those are part of the Arctic white uniforms.

The difference is that instead of wearing that jersey with our away pants and standard helmet, the team and/or Nike came up with white pants and a white helmet to wear it with.

I know most don't like that uniform but I think it looks great, and it's not a big deal because we only wear it once or twice a year.

Now the one on the right? I have never liked that jersey and think it's awful. When I see that jersey I think of the Barry Switzer game vs the Eagles where we ran the exact same play twice on 4th down.

We wore it for Thanksgiving 2001 and I think one more time since. That's a look they can throw away forever.

If they want to bring back an old look that they haven't used in a while, they should go with tht 75th anniversary throwback that they wore in MNF vs the Lions in 94, our 90s away jersey before we changed it in 96 to what it is now, or your royal blue beauties from the early 80s and before.

When I went to Dallas back in 2005 for the Redskins (Santana Moss) game, I stopped at the outlet store that was out by the Embassy Suites I was staying at. I saw some of those game-worn 1994 Detroit game jerseys hanging in a rack for sale, I think the most expensive was $150, but I also remember that none of the players were worthy of remembering, but I kick myself to this day for not picking up at least one of them.

Yeah, I liked those, especially the dark field behind the white name letters... like the Miracle on Ice hockey unis.

It is amusing how we long for Texas Stadium and abhor Jerrydome, yet Texas Stadium was essentially Jerrydome 1971 to the Cotton Bowl.

I think we mostly long for the teams that played in Texas Stadium. And the ownership and management in place for most of its time.
