Or as usual, our talent is overrated. This is not entirely accurate, but Chargers ran 35 offensive plays to about 6 for Cowboys from end of 2nd quarter to start of 4th.
Having a team prepared? Well, we had a double digit lead in the second quarter.
And next to nothing was about preparation and leadership.
We had a play where Bryant was a freak and we had a great independent play from Hatcher/Lee.
There is a lot more about managing a football game than that.
Overall, this was not a team who went into San Diego respecting the opponent, nor did we look especially intelligent in how we attacked their clear and oh so fucking obvious weaknesses.
Anyway, I am tired of all the Garrett abuse. Name me a coach who can work with the family Jones and have success.
Working with the Jones family doesn't mean you coach just as stupidly as they would on game day.
I get it if we are not as talented, have injuries etc.
San Diego was clearly out matched today. On every front you could imagine.
Yet...we lost.
Why was that?
It is not about being arrogant about Dallas' talent.
You cannot tell me for a fucking minute that OL we faced was quality. Nor that secondary.
We just had no plan whatsoever and thought they would lay down for the great Dallas Cowboys who just kicked the shit out of the Rams.
