I don't understand the wisdom of having two unknowns compete. It's exactly the bullshit they tried last year and had to desperately bring in Maher to bail them out. Why do this again?

It makes much more sense to sign a veteran to compete with the unproven guy.

Plus I don't know, a holder and weather and all that stuff. I'm glad his leg is strong enough but I'll care more about his kicks from inside of 50 which look like they were great in a real game environment in the USFL at least.
Nailing one into empty stands is nice, I guess.

I mean compared to the other guy I guess he has been ok. My guess is they let this guy play in a preseason game or two and if they don't go perfect they will dial up 1-800-a-kicker
