First, the argument was about how which party the KKK had aligned itself with. With a lot of dishonest references to pre southern strategy politics to misrepresent the current political landscape. That somehow, despite enormous evidence, the KKK and ofher white supremacists are still supportive of Democrats.Townsend, why are you so concerned with the radical fringe groups? There will always be lunatics on both sides no matter the party or president. They aren't representative of anything.
I don't see what a pissing contest of who has the worst 1% weirdos accomplishes other than "winning" internet arguments.
Also yes, there are fringes on either side of the political spectrum, but on one party is openly courting that fringe. Donald Trump appeared on Alex Jones, retweets white nationalists, apologizes for Unite The Right, hired Bannon/Miller/Gorsuch. Multiple white nationalists have won primaries, and even been elected as Republicans. Just look at this board and you see mainstream conservatives retweeting Alt-Right figures, because conservatives have made no effort to partisian out wackos.
Democrats are a center left political party, Republicans have veered into a far right organization.
