Yeah. Steve Young had (and still has) a punchable face. Merton Hanks, Ricky Waters. Lots of others. Lots of hate for the 92-95 team.
The current Niners don’t have any of those type characters IMO.

Yeah trading for him seemed unnecessary.

I read the Broncos are paying all of his remaining guaranteed base salary ($14M), while the 49ers are only on the hook for the prorated vet minimum (roughly $1M). They catch a financial break on that bad contract this year.
