Damn bro, you're getting sucked.

The offense is fun to watch right now, but Dak has shown no ability to dial up the intensity in the playoffs.

Maybe Schottenheimer changes that, but silly to think he'd do so well as to overcome a porous defense of his own.

Maybe the playoffs aren't full of top defense, but they're loaded with offense.

Maybe I am getting sucked, but Dak looks better right now than I have ever seen him. On top of that we have a real running game.

It's the best I have ever seen Dak. And it's the balance on offense that makes it feel different for me. Also the depth that allows you to miss studs on offense and still dominate.

I so agree with you, @mcnuttz, as usual.

Denver on the road and on a grass field will be a fine test of that as they will be the best D (and one of the more explosive O's) the team has faced all year.

Dallas has been an at-home, on-turf, haven't-been-pressured-yet kind of offense.

Beat Denver on the road with Nance and Romo reporting, and you announce your intention to join the playoff hunt.

I won't get sucked. We will still be an up and down team that will not get to the Conference championship.

Of course. The hypothetical is, what if the defense becomes decent? I think that would change things.

But the reality of course is that the defense is terrible and so you're correct we're not going anywhere.

Agreed, winning in Denver would be a statement...but still only halfway through the season.

If we were solid in all three phases and came away with a W, I think it would be a building-block, confidence-boosting type of win.

And you know Williams is going to be pumped to beat their asses
Eh, I think he left on peaceful terms. I actually think he came highly recommended from Payton to Dallas. So I don't know if Jeveonte has any sort of "extra" motivation. But the good news is Williams runs hard100% of the time. So it's not really a concern either for me.

Jerry and fam do lots of stupid shit, but the Pickens acquisition through 7 games has been one of the best things Jerry's ever done. Insane talent plus the ability to make difficult catches and play through the defender to draw PI constantly. Great pickup.
Yeah I figured he would be good. But he has been absolutely great. Exceeded even my expectations. He doesn't just look like a great number two WR, he looks like a legit top 10 NFL WR. And you can't just attribute it to Lamb taking all the attention because he was awesome with Lamb hurt. In past years we would have been absolutely screwed with Lamb missing 4 games. But this year we didn't even miss a beat. That's massively attributable to Pickens.

Pickens has gone from a one year rental for a third round pick. To a guy I think we would all be thrilled to have here long term. And the crazy part about it? Dude is only 24 years old. So even though it's year 4 in the NFL he is still young. Just a great talent meets a perfect fit to turn his personality from a negative to a positive.

Think of the WRs he wasted all those firsts on.

The best one he ever traded for was a third.
