Rams and Lions are a clear top 2 for me, they can both be beaten but I think they're more consistently dominant than anybody else in the conference.

Green Bay is about three plays (and one second) away from being 3-3.

Yeah, I don't think there any great teams. But a few teams have separated themselves.

I go back and forth on Green Bay. They couldn't beat us, they almost lost to Arizona. But then again they beat Detroit pretty handily, although you can't really trust week 1.

I guess we'll see as things play out.

While that was a good game let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We have seen this movie play out before. All we heis if we have a middle of the pack defense, with our offense, we can go far in the playoffs. This is not true.

We all know that defense is what wins championships. We have seen all world offenses get stuffed by very good defenses. We will encounter good defenses in the playoffs and our offense were more than likely stall out or get stopped. That’s why we should have a top 10 defense if we have any chance to survive in the playoffs. All we need to do is look at the Romo Cowboys. We had some good offenses, but the defenses failed us.

look at our last playoff game against the 49ers. We lost 19 to 12. Our offense didn’t do squat and wound up throwing a pic and costing us the game. Our defense was pretty good, but still couldn’t get the main stops when it needed.

I actually disagree. I think the biggest issue is if we can get to mediocre on defense. I don't expect that to happen.

But if we did, I think we'd have a real shot at the playoffs and even winning a game or two (depending on the matchups etc).

Because this offense could be special. Having a good or great defense obviously helps a lot, but it's certainly not true that no team has ever advanced in the playoffs without a top ten defense.

And right now I don't see any great teams or a whole lot of ferocious shut down defenses that I would be afraid we wouldn't be able to move the ball against.

Damn bro, you're getting sucked.

The offense is fun to watch right now, but Dak has shown no ability to dial up the intensity in the playoffs.

Maybe Schottenheimer changes that, but silly to think he'd do so well as to overcome a porous defense of his own.

Maybe the playoffs aren't full of top defense, but they're loaded with offense.

I do too, but mostly because the defense is in fact hideous. I wouldn't feel the same if the defense was mediocre (mediocre meaning roughly middle of the pack).
I'd go even further to say I think our offense could still get better this year. Lamb is coming back from injury, the Oline is getting healthy. Pickens having time as a number 1 has really improved that connection.

The offense has the potential to be an all timer for the Cowboys. The defense though has the potential to be an all timer for the wrong reasons.
