I am certain we will all forget this greasy shit of a loss, but it is more than sad that Dowdle called these clowns out and still had his way.
Look, Ed Werder said that Eberflus is a good coordinator, so it must be true.

It feels ridiculous to say but if Zimmer was our DC we'd be significantly better right now.

Funny how he came back for a year and said fuck it, I'm going to marry a 40 year old and retire.
I guess someone on the postgame show asked about getting Zimmer back. Broaddus said he expected a chance at the head coaching position last year and was mad he didn't get it, so there was no way he'd come back here again.

What a classy and smooth operation this front office has created.

Fields is terrible. Just get rid of the ball.
There were fans out there who were fooled into thinking the Cowboys D was improving based on how they looked vs Fields.

Yesterday was a dose of cold water to snap them back to reality.

Eh. I am okay with it.

A loss that leaves Jerry speechless afterwards isn't so bad in my book. Especially in a season like this where I don't expect much.

The thing to me is that Young and Williams aren't appreciably better than Fields so it's not like the Jets were the 1 time we played a bad QB or a stoppable offense.

Most of the offenses we played were mediocre at best. We played against almost exclusively against bottom of the barrel offenses including Wilson who was benched shortly after destroying us.

What made the Jets different? All of a sudden we were stopping someone. All of a sudden we had a pass rush, and could cover.

It seems to me unless I'm mistaken we seemed to be doing more stunts and blitzes against the Jets. Whatever it was, it was working. Why not just keep doing that?

Think? It is obvious some dislike it quite a bit.
The players are obviously extremely uncomfortable with the scheme. Just no other way to put it. I have no idea if it's up to Schotty or not but he is the head coach. And as a head coach I'd be having some serious talks with my defensive coordinator about changing what we are doing or changing coordinators.

But Jerry. Of course even Jerry has to see what a fuckup the Coordinator choice is and how its costing us an elite offensive season.

I think most of that pass rush was due to Fields' limitations.

He probably struggles to set the correct protections and route adjustments on top of holding the ball too long.

I don't have the means to prove this without rewatching that game, but it felt like more than half the sacks Fields took were because he was holding onto the ball for 4 seconds or longer.

Even the worst defenses in history will look respectable under those circumstances.

You're giving him too much credit...

Young was definitely holding the ball too long yesterday. It just seems like we were playing the Jets differently.

Heck even the Eagles game was a tale of two halves.

"I would hope so. I would think so."

That's probably as close as you're going to get a HC to throwing a coordinator under the bus without firing them.

Eberflus has a generally good track record but he doesn't strike me as an imaginative type and he seems very married to his "schemes", which are mostly just basic zones and telling everyone to hustle, run and hit.

His time might just be up in the league because he's incapable of evolving.
