I remember when the Lions were going to crater after they lost both coordinators...

The talent returned and are intact, so they are continuing the process. It is not like they traded away the best player in that process and installed a scheme that was diametrically opposed to the players expected to play it.

And that means it's coaching. The talent here might not be great, but it's not the worst in football, either.
This is where I'm at, the talent is below average to average, not the worst in the league by a country mile and yet that's the results we're getting while every single unit looks completely clueless.

I think it's about 70% scheme/coaching and 30% talent.

They lost Ragnow which was big, but obviously their coaching is far superior on the defensive side at least.

I feel really good about the offense now and moving forward, although I'd still have an eye on possible Dak replacements.

Funny how a few minutes ago Collinsworth was gushing about how much room Montgomery had on a about a 12 yard run up the middle.

That was 90% of Rico Dowdle's runs today. :doh

It still blows my mind we got a quality DT in Clark and still cannot get a body next to him worth playing. That Taco Mazi pick was a huge miss.

Look, I get it.

Are the Jones' literally the worst ownership group in all of sports? No, of course not.

They'll never allow the Cowboys to be completely awful because it affects their bottom line for the team to be non-competitive. And there are other ownership groups who are just fine watching their team lose year after year which I'll never understand.

But at the end of day, does it really matter if the Jones' try a little bit but yet never put the team in an optimal position to win anything of note because winning isn't on their priority list?

It sucks man. Because there's no doubt in my mind we could have been to and maybe even won a Super Bowl by now if they would just be willing to hire the right coaches and take a step back.

But it hasn't and probably won't happen again until they disappear.
They’re the worst in professional sports because they think they’re not the problem.

I’m sure you can find a lot of worse off franchises around, but those people running those either don’t care, or they refuse to put forth the effort to actually compete.

I’m positive if someone were to ask Jerry and Stephen if they were out of a job tomorrow would their phones ring for front office jobs in the NFL, they’d both think they’d have a job.

That comment was more to bemoan my predicament of being a Twins fan stuck with the Pohlad family, than it was to defend the Jones family.

And I'm also a Sixers fan. Yay me.
