I just don't believe in stuff like "win rate".
It's like I was saying when it comes to Elam. If you look at PFF for example he was like the 72nd ranked corner in the NFL last year. Which really just puts him outside of the top 2 corners on NFL roster and would kind of make him a high end third corner. But I don't know how much you can trust that stuff. You can pick any sort of advanced statistic you want and pick a guy apart.

I think LBer is especially difficult because you really have no idea what his responsibilities are on any given snap. What I do trust is that the coaches will keep it simple and that they know how to turn a big and athletic LBer into a productive player. I think he will be just fine. The dude hasn't been a starter for this many games if he just outright sucked.

Like I said last night, he's awesome attacking downhill, he's not the best when he has to sift through traffic to find the ball, although the Titans were horrendous all over the place and he often had to take on OL more than he should.

He's decent enough in coverage as well.

I think he'll be a fine starter, not a centerpiece or anything, but you can't have steak on every plate and he can credibly start while Overshown gets back while buying time for Liufau to continue to develop.

Even the players know the Cowboys aren't serious about winning.

That's part of the reason why I think players are hesitant to leave money on the table when negotiating with the Cowboys. They know the team isn't going to use that money to improve the roster.

I don't blame them in that regard. I wouldn't leave money on the table either if that money is not going to be used to help me win a championship.

That's fair, but there is a zero percent chance of Seattle winning a Superbowl while he is there.
But I trust their ownership & GM to at least make an honest effort to improve the roster. That's all you can ask for as a player.

While I agree with you on one hand, on the other you could say that the rosters we had were capable of being a 2 and 3 seed in 2021 and 2023 with two home playoff games and they completely shit the bed each time.

Of course Jerry and his stupidity fosters an atmosphere that isn't conducive to winning, but the fact remains that those rosters got themselves in those positions and choked like dogs each time.

You can't really fault the organizations cheapness for that.

Don't get me wrong, I know they've had some good rosters recently. I'm more so speaking to the fact that they never go all in to add that final championship piece that truly moves the needle like you see with other contenders.

If I leave money on the table I want you to go out and acquire a Saquon, AJ Brown, Christian Mac, etc.... instead of just using that money to re-sign players currently on the roster.
