-Guyton got roughed up pretty good a few times by Garrett, and he was almost never left 1-on-1 with him, but Garrett is arguably the best individual player we'll face all year and I've seen him beat triple teams before, so I'll take Guyton's performance as a rookie in an opener any day of the week. What really encouraged me though is that he was left 1-on-1 with Za'Darius Smith a few times and handled him each time, Smith isn't a Pro Bowler anymore necessarily but he's still a good to very good edge rusher and Guyton held up well.
-Beebe is a locked and loaded Pro Bowl center for the next 8-10 years, he might not make it this year but after he gets a year in the league with NFL weight training and people catch on to how good he is, he'll be a fixture for a long time. I think he's at least as good if not better than Biadasz right now, as a week 2 rookie, which is ridiculous when you consider he played 0 snaps at center in college.
-Steele actually looked surprisingly decent, still not worth his contract, but he looked like an average to above average RT which is a huge upgrade over last year. He held up well 1-on-1 against Garrett a few times, he gave up a sack to Smith but he wasn't beaten egregiously and other than that he was solid. Still way overpaid but if he can just be an above average RT that's a huge win.
-Martin looks more or less cooked, relatively speaking since he's still a decent starter, but I wonder how much of his holdout last year was because he could feel this coming. He's pretty much just an above average starting RG at this point, his Pro Bowls are by rep only.
-Schoonmaker has to watch out or he's going to end up 3rd on the depth chart behind Spann-Ford, who looks like the best blocking TE on the roster. If Ferguson misses a game or two Schoonmaker better figure out how to make a few plays in the passing game or he's going to sink like a rock.
