They are thinking at least they arent Cowboy fans. Would rather be there and lose then not having hope of anything.

I don't know if I buy that logic. If they ever won that'd be one thing, but they don't even have memories to fall back on.

I'd take the cowboys situation as bleak as it is right now, 10 out of 10 times over dealing with never having won at all.

Hell yes KC. They play like the Cowboys
I remember growing up. Staubach and Dorsett, Hill and Pearson….no matter what they never seemed out of it in the big games.
Now, it’s a shitshow and we haven’t sniffed a SB in 30 years. But dammit….Jerry is doing it his way!!!!

Well my original thought was aimed at the present situation. I have a hard time being proud of winning those 90s SBs when we have been as bad as we have for 30 years.

I have a lot of admiration for this KC team.

Those 90s SBs are ancient history, and even worse were won when the NFL was completely different.
The fact Jones and his ilk haven’t been able or willing to follow the simple blueprint that every successful NFL franchise has followed for 10-15 years now is inexcusable.

Not really.
We don’t have a franchise QB, we have 1 difference maker at WR, 1 difference maker at LB/DE.
I’d say we are way behind a lot of teams.

I root for a hockey team that last won in 1975, a basketball team that last won in 1983, a football team that last won in 1995, and a baseball team that last won in 2008 but also only one other time (1980) since its inception in 1883. And my college football teams, one last won the national championship in 1986, and the other never won and never will.

I'll take the memories of winning over a fleeting glass ceiling run for 5-7 years. Especially when talking about Buffalo who outside of this run has been mostly pretty abysmal since the 90s.

Buffalo's bullshit defense and Allen potentially having the yips would've made be worried against the Eagles. As it is it'll be close but I'm pretty confident in KC with the Philly injuries.

Unless KC just gets overwhelmed by Philly's running game I think Moore is going to struggle going up against Spagnuolo.

Bills up 22-21 at the beginning of the 4th. That failed Tush Push 4th and 1 was probably the turning point.

Game of inch. Singular.

Damn.

We can’t get past the Packers in the playoffs over the past decade, but Bills take the cake with 0-4 in five years vs Chiefs

I love sports, but I don't love them enough or have whatever it is that Buffalo fans have inside them to keep following that team.
Honestly, that’s been us for the last 30 years, too, except we don’t even have championship game appearances.

My daughters are in their 20’s and I’ve driven them to love a team that sucks the life out of you. They’ve never known a winner and never will. I tell you, it’s feeling like I’ve been an abusive parent.

Again, that's the whole point though -- I know the feeling of having seen my team win a championship.

@Genghis Khan is the only who seems to get what I was saying. It's about having find memories to fall back on, not what our current situation or future trajectory is.

Being a Cowboys fan sucks. Unless that family sells, I'll probably never see them win again.

But why am I still here now? Because of those championships that I witnessed.

I would not be here today if the Cowboys had the Bills history because I wouldn't have ever experienced a "reward" for my fandom, so to speak.

And going through what Bills fans have gone through without ever tasting a championship would have made me quit years ago.

There's no way you can convince me that it's worse being a Cowboys fan than a Bills fan.

The cupboard isn’t bare, we have some key talent and I’m even hoping for a turnaround from Guyton.

But we lack even a hint of what I’ve seen from the four coaches today. Yes even mf’ing butthole eyes.

And our front office has become Will McClay and a bunch of scouts. We have been banned from spending beyond the very minimum we can credibly spend. We paid Dak and CeeDee (and in tortuous, begrudging fashion) because we had to in order to maintain the veneer

It's funny, my fandom has nothing to do with the Jimmy days. Like Geng said on his other sports, until literally last year (2023) I was a fan of a baseball team that had never won, and even had two relatively recent Bills-like failures in the last game... One even one strike away. But I'm a much bigger football than baseball fan, too.

But, the Cowboys are our local team. I don't see how you guys do it from across the country. I've always thought that if the Cowboys weren't close, I'd never be a fan of this team. I've thought it would be great to be a local Bucs or Titans or whatever fan, just another team that doesn't have Jerry's constant circus going. In fact that's how it is following the Rangers or Thunder. It's just sports. Not being the Kardashians of the league is a huge plus.

But, the Cowboys are my favorite team in my favorite sport and I can't change teams. I actually tried to in the depths of the Garrett years and it didn't work. Oh well.
