I don't applaud their efforts to find a QB because it should have been obvious to anybody paying attention that Lance in particular wasn't worth the investment, and there was no real avenue to recoup their investment in him.
There wasn't even an "effort" to find a QB. There was only an aging control freak who wanted to remind everyone who was in charge by making a snap trade without even consulting his head coach or anyone else.

And on the RB, I'm not even mad about Henry. I don't know that he'll be worth the money going forward.

I'm more mad that they didn't just draft someone. And it didn't have to be this year, they could have last year also.

Yep 2023 and 2024 I was waiting every round of the draft for a RB. And we were never even close to taking one other than Deuce.
Speaking of Deuce, that facade has to end. Keep him on the PS, do whatever, but there is no chance he provides more value right now than Cook unless you want to argue ST's.

In which case, fuck off.

Although I'm not even sure why I even bother to express such a thought, this is likely a 8-10 win team either way who maybe scratches out a playoff win. There's no chance they make the NFCC unless Jesus Christ himself comes down and performs a miracle, in which case McCarthy will be gone and none of this matters in the first place.

See what he's saying? "The players are fine. The players this MFing GM have brought in aren't the problem."

He even likes the D-line. :doh

So what does that leave as the problem?

Outside of the four games with Washington and the Giants, what games look "easy" enough to get those 8-10 wins?

Every single team on the rest of the schedule is fully capable of steamrolling them with the run game just as the Saints and Ravens did.

This team isn't going to the playoffs, so you guys need to get that idea out of your heads.

I said this months ago and I believe it rings true even now -- your front office and ownership cannot treat an off-season as if they are completely indifferent in regards to the on-field success for the upcoming season and not expect that to have a negative impact on the team.

I always felt there was too much negative mojo surrounding the team coming into the season to be successful and everything I've seen over the past 2 weeks has done nothing but reaffirm that stance for me.

Them not playing good enough. He might even be questioning the coaching.

But oh fuck no, it is not this expertly crafted roster that shares any blame from his idiotic perspective.

By week 5 we should be up to high school level play. By week 8 college. Week 12 pro level.

Adjust your thinking!!

Jerruh shouldn’t be bothered with these questions. Only 66,000 tickets have been sold for the Tyson-Paul fight with over a month left.

Panthers should be an easy win once they're done with this little QB change "bump", Tampa at home may be somewhat easy as well. I think they'll beat either Detroit or Pittsburgh as well, maybe even both.

Ultimately I think they'll win 3 of 4 against the Giants/Skins, one against the Eagles, Panthers, Bucs, one of the Steelers/Lions, that's already 8 wins when you add in Cleveland.

They can probably scratch another one out against the Texans/Bengals/Falcons.

9 feels right at the moment, maybe that's playoffs, maybe not, don't really know/care.

Yeah I mean right now I wouldn't bother with Deuce or Zeke on the roster. Leupke and Dowdle are the only two useful backs I see.

Luepke was about the only bright spot yesterday, the one catch he made on 3rd about 20 yards downfield in tight coverage was extremely impressive.

He's a keeper for sure.
Leupke is the only weapon on offense that sort of intrigues me at this point. He certainly can do more. I actually like the way he runs when the ball is in his hands and he catches well.

Big Bill is wrong about the talent thing. We can beat the bottom feeders in the league but not the glitterati.
