The two immediate examples that come to my mind are Tony Pollard and Troy Hambrick. Both looked much better in backup roles but as soon as the lead RB load was heaped on their shoulders both of them performed much worse than they did in previous seasons.
I mean I sure hope the plan isn't to make any of these guys an RB1 or lead back. They keep preaching this is going to be a RB by committee. The problem is, Dowdle is the only guy I think is really good enough to be part of a committee.

I don't even know if we have a Troy Hambrick quality player on this roster.

I mean even in college Dowdle wasn't really a feature back. It's kind of weird to say he is the best we have. His best college season was like 133 carries and 700 some yards rushing. His last season in college was 498 rushing yards.

I guess he should still have fresh legs at least.

I actually think he could be a decent RB. Little over 4 ypc IF he could stay healthy. He can't even stay healthy as a part timer. Still, he's Rico Hambrick until proven otherwise.

I wished Taj Brooks had come out but now I'm afraid Tech is going to wear down the tread on that boy.

Yeah, 290 carries last year. Insane. He should have absolutely left unless he was told he could make more money with NIL than the NFL.

Brooks is only the 14th ranked RB according to one site (nfldraftbuzz) for 2025, so I imagine he might stand to make more in college.

Henderson from Ohio State should have come out. Now he might not even be their top back since Judkins transferred there. RB seems like the position you should jump. But I guess if you're not a first round pick take the extra college money. Your nfl life is probably only your 4 year rookie deal anyway.

Yep, the longest deal you're gonna get as a RB in most cases is your first one. Then you are on a series of 1-2 year deals until you're done.

Yeah stud, and in his case couldn't even declare for the draft because he is too young.
Is that why? I didn't realize that.

He's good though. One of those guys who probably won't test great but he's smooth and can run it.

This is so fucking stupid.

It's one thing when it's Bryant or Lamb. Those guys are high, high level players.

Kneeland is not that guy.
Yeah, they're reaching by declaring that number, just like they did with Gregory.

Kneeland is not a blue chip pass rusher, but very much an all-arounder at DE. Paired with Mazi Smith, we stand to lose speed over time unless Williams can mature into a true pro
