Let the “ all in “ begin :ballpunch
:lol

People have complained for years about wanting to move on from Smith because of his injury history. Now that it looks like we are, let’s just completely flip and bitch that he’s leaving.

I’m starting to agree with the stance that we have the stupidest fan base.

I am perfectly fine with the situation.

Yeah, I don't actually care that much one way or another. The team has bigger problems than this.

It all depends on what they intend to do with Tyler Smith. If he is staying at OG come hell or high water, it makes less sense.
I can't imagine they are banking on drafting and starting a rookie LT. Now that would seem like a bad plan. If it happens like it did with Tyler, awesome, but that can't be your plan.

The only thing that would make sense is to play Tyler at LT.

Guyton or Mims could arguably be the best OL available at 24, if that's the case you very well might keep Tyler at LG for now.

Hasn't Mims only had 8 college starts or something like that?

Not a guy I'd trust starting at LT in the NFL

Yea he's not my top choice for that reason but he looks as talented or perhaps more so than even the top prospects in his limited playing time.

Yeah Guyton looks pretty raw to do that from day one. He was also a RT in college. Of course so was Tyron Smith if I remember correctly. But Tyler was raw too and came in as a rookie and was in my opinion the best rookie lineman in the NFL that year.

Mims played RT as well and honestly looks to be built like a RT. I also have questions about why he took so long to play.

If I had to guess Guyton makes more sense if you want a LT. But both guys are pretty strictly OTs. Not exactly the Cowboys style.

Granted, I'm not an OU superfan, but I didn't remember Guyton being that big a stud in college.

Kind of crazy that he's 6-7 and 330 or whatever and almost looks kind of skinny for an NFL guy.

He has some Tyron Smith to him in terms of sort of that freakish looking athletic body. Guyton is raw though.

Honestly Morgan seems like more the style of recent drafts. LT/LG could play either. I'm not in love with him because of he lets guys get into his body but man his feet are smooth. Fuaga is a dream if he could make it to us, but he won't.

Any thoughts on Latham? I haven't watched him but he is another one of these massive OT's from Alabama. But the Alabama OT's don't seem to transition well to the NFL.

I've had some family health things this week and haven't gotten to watch any of the combine. I'm going to try to watch some highlights in the next few days.

Yeah I saved them all. I haven't really had the time either. But being able to skip the boring interviews, commercials and shitty analyst stuff also speeds the process. In the end though watching the guys play in real games is way more insightful. Especially with lineman.
