First round needs to go to DL if the timing is right. I hate our RB situation but you can get good ones a little later. Just not never.

No but the Cowboys overreact so if Jeanty is there then Bradie Bottle lock that shit.
You're probably right about that. Jerry does have a history of reaching for flashier players over those with more substance.

I wouldn't argue with taking Jeanty but this is probably the deepest RB class in at least 5, maybe upwards of 10+ years, combined with a very good front 7 group in the first, so I'd lean towards front 7 in the first and RB in the 2nd (probably).

I don't know. We can't draft DT for shit. I know it'll never happen but I'd much rather sign the top DT in free agency and go elsewhere in the draft.

True, but Master William has been pretty good at drafting them. @Texas Ace

I think it's unlikely we go DT in the first unless we're closer to 20. If we're in the 8-12ish range the only guy who I think fits the bill would be Graham, who would probably be gone.

The edge group is much deeper in that range with Carter, Scourton, Pearce, Williams and Walker.

Bingo. This is my thinking as well.

Cowboys scouts clearly struggle when it comes to identifying quality interior DL. Over the last 20 years their draft hit rate at that position is probably the lowest of all the positions.

At this point they need to acknowledge their shortcomings and try to fill the need in free agency.

Mason Graham is a game wrecker. It’s a shame that Michigan shit the bed in its head coaching “search” and allowed an unqualified guy to make the DC hire.

We don't even need a RB in the 1st round. We just need to not completely ignore the position like we did this year.
This. I was pissed after the draft but I was like, certainly they will get several of the best UDFAs and that would work. We did not even do that. I don’t even recall the ONE schlub that was signed.

We got the backup RB from Missouri. A dude who was a backup to a college free agent RB. Like that's how little we tried.

I can't even comprehend how much we ignored the very obvious talent deficiency at RB.
Any of 500 other people could have GM'd that draft.

Pretty good slate of college football games today from morning till night.

Definitely going to be tuning in to Colorado at Texas Tech.

I think Tech wins that one.

I don't know. It feels like it's time to acknowledge that Colorado has actually turned the corner and they're a good program.
