I actually like the modern "true gold" helmets. Old ones were too matte looking.

They look more brass to me....like a fucking band instrument.

I hate it.

Another one score loss to Ohio State, inside the five twice and come away with zero points. Franklin's job should be questioned, but it won't be.
That last Penn State offensive series of the game should be a fireable offense for Franklin and the OC.

1st and goal inside the 5: Three straight runs between the tackles vs a very stout Ohio State defense that they had trouble running against the entire afternoon. There was no deception or creativity at all during that series of downs. The most frustrating part is they actually used a little creativity to drive down the field to get inside the 5. But for whatever reason once they got down there they dusted off a play sheet from the 1930s.

Yeah, and what's worse is that they ran the exact same run play on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down

Just an atrocious series.

I know Jeanty

But damn Kaleb Johnson is fun to watch. It's like the anti Cowboys on offense.

NOT TRUE!

They ran that OL in motion from left to right instead of from right to left on one of those downs.

And they did that on 4th down too.

But regardless of the motion or lack thereof, they still ran through the A gap on all 3 downs.

If our dumbass team keeps losing and we make it up into the top 8-10 it'll be hard to justify taking Jeanty over someone like Carter or Graham, maybe even Scourton or Mykel Williams, so it's a good thing the class is so deep.

I'd even look at taking two, one in the 2nd/3rd and another maybe in the 5th range.

No idea how high Kaleb has climbed in the draft but the Hawkeyes are doing a good job of keeping his carries somewhat limited. A couple 25 carry games and that is it.

So I can mark you down for a Kaleb/Tahj backfield next year. Awesome.
