Seems like a good sign if he's going for a second OC interview with Baltimore. They generally make good decisions and are one of the better-run franchises.

This is at least them talking to someone not named Schottenheimer or McAdoo.
That is likely where we are going.

Some lackey who is comfortable with being an OC in name only with Fat Mike's greasy fingerprints all over the playcall card.
You DFDC'd yourself

Not good, but I hope McCarthy has a lot of influence this time around since it's basically his show to run on the offensive side of the ball.

I'd still prefer him to Moore but it's definitely an uninspired choice. I think he got a bad rap in Seattle though, Wilson was extremely productive and they were a 10-12 win team ever year with him as OC.

Wilson even had a 40 TD year under him. We saw what happened last year when Denver tried to "let Russ cook".

An interesting added layer was that supposedly Quinn wanted to take Schottenheimer to Denver to be his OC. Is this further entrenching Quinn as the potential HC here?

Exactly. Nobody of consequence was going to take this job, because everyone already knew that Fat Mike is the OC and play caller. So this hire doesn’t move the needle either way for me.

It does a little because of who it is. Nobody with any ambition would take what amounts to a year to prove it with McCarthy or move on when he gets canned.

My real issue is who the coach is, not what their lane will be.

Schottenheimer isn't some young kid looking for a way to learn. He's a mediocre career lifer that will not bring much to the table other than executing what McCafthy tells him to.

I really don't think our offense makes any stride with a move like this unless the offense gets another WR1, new starting stud TE and a back.

This is a league where it is becoming very evident that to succeed offensively, you had better be on top of the game in terms of innovation, disguise and execution. Unless there is something Schottenheimer is hiding, we did not improve our situation.

It is making things very insular.
