Reading the posts about whether OC or HC calls the plays takes me back to a time when QBs called their own plays in the huddle. I think, not sure, that Landry may have been among the very first to call plays from the sideline. I don't remember when that started, whether Meredith had called his own plays up until Landry's play calling started.

David Moore on the Ticket just reiterated that he's been told very strongly that it won't be an internal promotion, so no Schotty.

He didn't rule out McAdoo, though. Or was he talking about Jeff Nixon who worked under McAdoo this year... that wasn't totally clear.

He did feel they would restructure things to have a pass game and a run game coordinator, which would fit with Nixon being the run guy.

He also said he thought the term "friction" between Mike and Kellen was an overstatement, though they did see the game differently and Mike especially didn't agree with the pass protections Kellen used.

I don't know much about any college football besides the dawgs so Monken is my favorite because I'm ignorant. Obviously there are other college coaches who have mastered qb instruction and game design. Who are they?
