A lot of NFL coordinators and coaches earn their spurs by doing apprenticeships, first in the college ranks, and then maybe getting a spot on an NFL staff, working their way up and gaining experience. Moore did none of that. He went right from being a shitty NFL QB to the Cowboys' QB coach (reunited with Linehan). Then the next year he was OC under Garrett.

Same with Garrett. One year as QB coach in Miami under HC Saban and OC Linehan, then the next year Jerry hires him as OC till he took over as HC after Phillips got fired.

Neither Garrett nor Moore had any seasoning or schooling. Linehan's been a failure at every turn in the NFL. Garrett and Moore adopted his system.

How does Moore go from being a shitty NFL QB to OC one year later? Garrett's father was a coach. So what? Moore's father was a coach. So what? They both suck as coaches.

It’s interesting how our three Super Bowls manifest in ways that prevent us from winning the next one

It’s hard not to get dragged into the vortex. Dragged down… deeper and deeper. Fighting for a breath. Until…

Thanks to Landry, we had the #1 pick in a draft with a franchise QB available and a few months later we royally ripped off the Vikings. Perfect storm that doesn't happen too often.

I think he meant the 3 in the 90s when Turner was our OC, and how he passed along that outdated system that still haunts us today.

…as well as entrenched Jerruh’s way, refreshed new generation of fans to fund Jerruh’s way and the gift of Garrett

I dunno. Moore is a devotee of Jap plays whereas there was never any trickery under Norv. No flea flickers, reverses, jet sweeps, halfback passes, etc. Just Emmitt up the middle or a slant to Navacek or Irvin. But yeah, Moore's curl routes, which leave no opportunites for YAC, need to go.

Moore’s oh so creative and utter fail jap repertoire.

One step at a time. LT Fan contends that Kellen’s system is influenced by 1+ systems. Aside from Garrett/Linehan, Kellen’s other main experience is a high school playbook.

So does high school playbook influence strengthen Kellen’s performance in the NFL? Or does it force more pressure on the players to execute flawlessly?
No need for sarcasm. Moores college career was pretty good at that level. Memory serves me that he was also a Heisman contender. So he was not just a dud on a college team. His arm strength wasn’t strong and kept him out of the pro ranks for any period of time. There is no need to use isolated parts of his career to belittle him and throw barbs. If you don’t like him that’s fine but I happen to think he has a good football mind. I began to follow his career when he ousted Oklahoma out of a win in a post season bowl game and have followed him ever sense.

Good natured debate, keeps the mind active. None of this is personal.
