Our best chatter thread was 80s heavy obviously with that being our decade coming up in age. What 70s stuff had that influence?

Enter the Dragon, Clockwork Orange, Cheech & Chong, etc
Not much bothers me but Clockwork orange is one movie I will likely never watch more than the once.

You watched all those shows? I did a lot of Happy Days.

Come to think of it, I did a lot of black and whites - Addams Family, Dick Van Dyke Show and I Love Lucy.

I watched it, but today I couldn’t tell you the difference between Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie

Amazingly enough, I was allowed to watch all of those shows except WKRP.

Um...

Six Million Dollar Man
Charlie's Angels

But I'm with you, any 70s TV I watched was in syndication in the 80s.

I just found out this morning my wife's never watched or heard of Misery.
One of those roles that almost punishes an actor post-role going forward because they played it so masterfully.

I heard the Poltergeist or Exorcist girl suffered the same lingering effect and couldn’t get roles afterwards.

Being raised in a very conservative home there are a lot of all timer movies I had never seen until I was in my 30s. I still haven’t seen misery, Psycho, or Jaws. Some just don’t stand up to what people remember. Some, like Godfather are still good.

Yes. Mork and Mindy. Did they ever hook up?

For game shows (back to the 80s), I watched quite a bit of Bob Barker Price is Right and $25000 Pyramid. Loved Press Your Luck. Family Feud with Ray Combs

Kathy Bates will always be Bobby Boucher's mama to me.
When momma didn’t want Bobby to play the foosball, I was thinking “watch out, Bobby. Bitch is gonna tie you down in bed and smash your legs with a sledgehammer!!!”
