Quinn and the defensive players have to have a "come to Jesus" moment and realize that what they're doing isn't sustainable long-term. They need to rededicate themselves to stopping the run and playing more disciplined, gap sound football.
This freestyling aggressive upfield stuff has it's place, but not on 2nd and 7. On 3rd and 7+ or 2nd and 12+, unleash the hounds, but they have to be honest with themselves and realize that they went way too far towards the pass rush to the detriment of stopping the run and teams are really starting to take advantage of it.
You have to stop the run if you want to rush the passer and that has to be the message from now through the rest of the year.
