I don't think that's necessarily true. But if you wait for others to come to you, you'll miss out on a lot of opportunities. And the calls Dallas does get are probably teams thinking that they have found a sucker.

You don't get a better offer when someone comes to your house trying to sell a vacuum as opposed to going to a store to buy a vacuum you like.

I think it's generally true and yes I think you tend to get a better deal on the vacuum cleaner if they come to you rather than if you go to a store. The more desperate side tends to lose a negotiation.

But I do agree that they should be reaching out to other teams about potential deals. I'm not saying they should be sitting around waiting for the phone to ring and they seem historically to be terrible trade negotiators. I'm just saying there's merit philosophically to what he's saying and if you're looking at the end result of them not getting a deal done at the deadline that dynamic could be part of why and I'd rather see that result than an overpay.

Negotiations are always an interesting game. But I think their is another way to think about it. Put yourself in the Texans shoes. You've got a WR, and you want to rip a team off. What are you going to do? You're going to call the teams that you think are most likely to overpay and start a conversation. You're basically going after the easy marks. To some extent I think that's probably what happened with Cooks and in the end I'm very glad we didn't overpay. Ultimately those are the types of phone calls Jerry is getting in my opinion. He isn't getting the phone call from an NFL team willing to give him a deal.

So being the aggressor in calling other teams has it's benefit. Because maybe you can actually talk that team into doing something they didn't originally consider doing.

Agree with that.

This isn't some novel concept to split carries between RBs. I think the real problem with all of this is that Zeke just isn't that good anymore. There really isn't a question of which RB is better than the other. Pollard is the better RB and Pollard should split carries with another RB.

I think the real problem is, Zeke's just leaving a lot of yards on the field with his runs. Pollard's success just sort of highlights Zeke's deficiency. Zeke could have a role still but for most carries, his lack of speed, ability to make a guy miss and frankly ability to break tackles has become a liability.
I’m not sure how many times we’ve been told how fast Zeke looks in training camp, only to see in real time games the burst is just gone.
He may be a decent short yardage back, and a fantastic blocker but that’s about it.

Even 4.6 forty Malik Davis showed more burst on outside runs.

I watch some of those long Pollard runs and it's fun to think about all the different points in the run that Zeke would have easily been stopped. Again, this isn't that Pollard needs more touches than 14 or 15 a game. It's just that Zeke isn't good enough to be splitting a lot of those carries.

The 3rd and short that Pollard scored a TD on to the outside vs the Bears-no way does Zeke make that first down, let alone the TD. And that’s really the problem.

Yep, Zeke needs to take the backseat. He has his value, but it is no longer as a bell cow.

After watching this video for the 15th time, I now have no doubt we are winning the Superbowl.

He's not seeing the field or reacting as quickly as Pollard.

There's been a couple runs this season where he seems to have a burst, so if he could sneak through some of the same holes TP does I bet he could still stretch them out.

To whomever said that they didnt see why these young TEs were receiving kudos, here it is. Production defined as play/s resulting in touchdowns. Equal credit to Moore for exploiting an effective formation.

Nah, just reacting to a really cool video. I would never ever bet on the Cowboys. Like ever ever.
