Interchangeable Tackles
Interchangeable Tackles
And we thought there'd be regression. Not with this group of bad mofos
Can't wait for this Green Bay game. Looks like Rodgers can finally be had.
I know we need the bye week with so many guys banged up, but I kind of hate to have to wait two weeks.
I love Jones. Such a good back. Hope we can find someone kind of like him next year. They did a damn good job of running the ball on the Bills last night. Jones was running like his hair was on fire. Kinda makes me nervous.
We are regressing in terms of takeaways. But the rush is killing it. Now get faster outside to stop perimeter runs. And we thought there'd be regression. Not with this group of bad mofos
One less takeaway is "regressing"? I think not.We are regressing in terms of takeaways. But the rush is killing it. Now get faster outside to stop perimeter runs.
We are still forcing turnovers at a pretty good rate. Should have had 2 more against the Bears frankly and were robbed by the refs. Oh hey, you can't see the ball but sure the guy "regained possession after fumbling substantially enough to overturn a subsequent fumble after hitting the ground... And oh yeah another Diggs pick, not your D-lineman contacted the upper chest area of the QB, better take that one back too.One less takeaway is "regressing"? I think not.
Why do Cowboys fans lose their f'n mind every time CB is mentioned? Some dude on the internet mentioned corner as a need? BFD.Sure, sure, sure, yea, yea, it's not enough to have a literal top 5 CB in the league to go along with a 2nd (Joseph), two 3rd's (Lewis and Wright) and a promising rookie in Bland, not to mention Anthony Brown who has literally played about 95% of the snaps over the last two years on what has been one of the best defenses in the league in that time while giving up very little.
No, we need to have TWO Diggs-caliber players at CB or else we just can't win. Everybody knows you need to have TWO Pro Bowl CB's in order to really compete.
Let's just ignore the fact that the best defense of our generation started Byron Maxwell, Cary Williams and Brandon Browner for years opposite their stud top CB (Sherman).
At least a couple INTs I can think of off the top of my head that were called back (both by Diggs) for tickytack "roughing" calls, too.One less takeaway is "regressing"? I think not.
Because we spend an exorbitant amount of draft capital on CB's.Why do Cowboys fans lose their f'n mind every time CB is mentioned? Some dude on the internet mentioned corner as a need? BFD.
Every year, without fail, people here and other places cry about how we're going to take a corner in the first round. Like clockwork.
The whole corner narrative is very tiresome.
We do?Because we spend an exorbitant amount of draft capital on CB's.
If we end up using a 1st on a CB this year I'd call 3 second rounders, 2 third rounders and a 4th rounder over 5-6 years, plus a 1st, exorbitant, yes. And that's not even including God knows how many 5's and 6's on the position. We do?
I mean we haven't drafted one in the first round of the draft since what, Byron Jones? And even he was sort of a safety/corner type. I kind of feel like we actually drafted him originally as a safety.
Beyond that no first round picks on the roster. You've got a couple second rounders and a couple of third rounders over a significant amount of time. Is that exorbitant? I'm willing to bet we have invested on the low end of the spectrum compared to most NFL teams. Financially the numbers at corner are pretty low too. We are paying our second and third corners on the roster fringe type money. Certainly not starting corner type money.
Russell Maryland. The last time we took a DT in the 1st was literally like 30 years ago.
If.If we end up using a 1st on a CB this year
Right. And considering there are basically three starting positions on your defense that use a corner, I'm not seeing this 'exorbitant' amount of draft capital being spent. We do?

We have to shore up the running game D. The packers looked good in the running game, but Rodgers has dropped off-mostly because he doesn’t have any WRs. But he’s still dropped off some. Can't wait for this Green Bay game. Looks like Rodgers can finally be had.
