If the medical guys think he is good, and so does he and the staff, what is the big deal? If he is ready, go. Thinking next week is better simply because of the opponent should not enter into the conversation.

Correct.

Does he start this week if Rush pulls that Philly game out? I dunno. Seems like they're rushing him back due to the three picks.

This is exactly how the long term rehab was supposed to roughly be. I thought Chicago.

Because he and the staff are being pressed by the owner of the football team to get back out there.

But then again, he looked lost in Week 1 after having a whole Training Camp to prepare...so I guess one more week wouldn't matter.

Yay team, go do great football plays!

Rush was on borrowed time regardless. 4-1 was a minor miracle, let’s get on with the starter.

In the season opener it seemed like Dak wasn't comfortable in the offense.

Really glad to hear that he's being rushed back out there with his first padded practice coming in the middle of the week. :dunce

It's the fucking Lions, let Rush handle it for one more game.

I think it's good for him to start off with a weak opponent. Kind of like colleges do with their non-conference schedules to begin the season.

If you believe the reports, we have one of the weakest remaining schedules...so it wouldn't matter as long as it wasn't the Eagles.

Dak already appeared to be trending towards starting this week prior to the Philly game.
Yeah, honestly I think this has been the plan for awhile. I actually think he was close to being able to play against Philly and probably would have had Rush not just led us to 4 straight wins. This isn't rushing Dak back at all. But that isn't to say he won't be rusty. He played 0 in preseason. Played part of a game and then got hurt. So yeah, he may need to shake some rust off.

It is good that the Nooch is starting a new career ala Babe Laufenburg.

Nooch should have added, "At least I might not be the worst QB to ever start for a game for the Cowboys thanks to you, Babe."

Now there’s a dubious distinction.

You'd think Post Malone could afford some good beer.
